About the Club
DePaul University Club Tennis
Established 2006

Join DePaul University Club Tennis!DePaul University Club Tennis has one primary goal: to provide DePaul students with an opportunity to play tennis in both recreational and competitive settings. Founded in 2006, Club Tennis has been serving the DePaul student community ever since.

We are a student-run, student-funded, non-profit organization, which has been recognized in the past with the NIRSA/USTA National Tennis Ace Award and as the USTA Midwest Section Tennis on Campus Club of the Year.

In the fall of 2011, DePaul University Club Tennis was rebuilt by a core group of enthusiastic freshman and devoted officers. The club returned to the competitive Midwest Tennis on Campus League for the first time in several years by competing at tournaments and meets across Illinois and Wisconsin, growing our numbers from five at the first practice to more than forty active members by the end of the spring quarter. As of the 2015/2016 academic year, we have over 100 active members.

We have also helped grow the local Chicago tennis community by co-hosting the first ever Chicago Tennis on Campus Tournament with Northwestern University in May 2012. In February 2013, we were named the 2013 USTA Midwest Tennis on Campus Club of the Year. The following April, we attended the National Tennis on Campus Tournament in Arizona for the first time in our history and hosted the first ever two-day, eight-team DePaul Invitational, something we have also done every year since. In 2016, we were recognized by NIRSA with the National Tennis Ace Award for our commitment to growing the game of tennis. We currently practice indoors year-round at Lakeshore Sport and Fitness, just north of DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.

Whether you were captain of your varsity team, nationally ranked as a junior, or are simply looking to have some fun, Club Tennis at DePaul will give you the opportunity to network with other tennis enthusiasts on campus. Looking to join? Contact Head Coach Jon Mulvey for more information.
